In appreciation for your service as a Military Chaplain, the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association invites you and your spouse to be our guests at the Billy Graham Training Center at The Cove in the beautiful mountains of Asheville, North Carolina.

Limitations: This retreat is for all active duty Military Chaplains.  National Guard and Reservist Chaplains who have served in Iraq or Afghanistan are also eligible.  If you have attended this event in the past, we invite you to attend again but urge you to tell another active duty chaplain about this ministry opportunity and invite him/her to attend.

We’ll cover your travel costs up to $500.00 (round trip airfare each for you and your spouse or round trip mileage from your home to The Cove for one vehicle). Your food and lodging will be provided at the Cove.  Dress will be casual and be sure to bring comfortable shoes for walking.

For reimbursement of airfare, Chaplains will need to email a copy – or copies, if traveling with a spouse – of their airfare receipt with their name(s) on it, and showing the airfare cost(s) to Rosemary Moore at rmoore@bgea.org by November 15.   Copies may also be faxed to the attention of Rosemary Moore at 704-401-3003.   In either case, please make sure you receive a confirmation from Rosemary as a W9 form will need to be sent to you for completion prior to processing of reimbursement checks.  BGEA will assist with airport pickups at the Asheville, NC airport but will not be able to reimburse for rental cars.

Travel expense reimbursement for those driving will be offered to Chaplains driving at a rate of $.55/mile, up to $500.00, per car.  Roundtrip mileage will be calculated on Google Maps from point of origin to the Cove in Asheville, NC.  A Travel Expense Reimbursement form as well as a W9 form will need to be filled out by the Chaplain at check-in. 

Reimbursement checks will be mailed by December 31, 2012.

To register, please call The Cove at 1-800-950-2092.  The registration fee for the event is $75.00 per person; however, this amount will be refunded in full after you have attended our conference.   If cancellation is made at least 30 days prior to the event, you will also receive a full refund.  This is separate from the reimbursement check you will receive for your travel expenses and will be refunded in the same manner that payment was received.
